   This is based on weight of items. Each item has a specific weight set to it; the total weight of an order is the sum of each individual weights of the hair additions ordered.

 The shipping method set for the cart is Postal service, Read More about postal. That is, ounce your order is processed and packed; we shall send it to our local post office who will then post it your postal address wherever you are in the world. Hence ensure when filling in your address details they are current and correct to avoid loss of goods.

Maximum weight you can order via our shopping cart is 50kgs+5; this is the maximum weight you can send by postal service any thing above this we send by freighters, Read More about Freights.

 If you receive an error such as this:

 “The Total weight of your order is too high. Please contact us to see if we can make an alternative arrangement or reduce the amount of items in your basket.”

It means your order is above 50 Kgs, you can go back to the previous page and reduce the order items. I.e. break the order into two or more orders. Or you can copy your order page, step 5 of ordering Processing,  and email it directly to info@darlingKenya.co.ke . We will send you a quotation, and test the cart to ensure your country code has been set correctly, and the error originated from weight.

The postal service method takes between 7-21 days depending on distance and route followed. Some destinations may not be far from Kenya but the route followed will cause delays. We cannot guarantee exact dates of delivery

Postal shipping fee does include insurance fee, such that in case of complete lose of parcel (2 month period of inquiry) the goods amount will be paid(by whoever is to blame for loose either destination or origin postal office) and another parcel will be sent to you. Again we stress the need for correct address so that no mistake in shipping will be made as you will be charged a fee for redirecting it back to you.

Also ensure you include the contact details (email phone, telephone, cell phone or fax) so it will be easy for the postal officers to contact you ounce parcel and is ready for collection. A fee is charged for parcels that stay for too long waiting, all depending on your country postal regulations. In other countries the parcel is delivered at your door step, also depends on your countries postal delivery system.

 While in other countries you may need to pay customs fee, in most countries postal parcels are cleared by postal and delivered to you with no extra charge.

We cannot guarantee any added postal charge it is all depended on your country’s postal regulations, this charges will be cleared by you.

  If you wish to have received you parcel urgently and you cannot wait the whole 7-21days, we can send by UPS, FEDEX, DHL and EMS.

The cost of this courier services will be much higher than postal service, but will take 3-4 working days to. Any customs will be covered by you.

 Freighters handle airline cargo between 55kgs- 1000kgs and also container orders which are above 1000kgs.

This are well established freighters who can get cargo to anywhere in the world as long as there is an airport or a port nearby. They provide us with the best rate provided by the different airlines flying to your country. This rate is price per kg in dollars e.g. $4.5 per kg for a parcel weighing 200kgs to Australia, total shipping is $900 (hypothetical figures).

They take the consignment up to the airport or sea port, you can request delivery to your doorstep, but a fee will be charged including customs clearance fee this can be arranged on special request. Delivery time is 4-5 days.

By sea we encourage large container orders, we use the same freighters whoever provides the best rate, and it takes about 30 days.

These rates are depended on weight and destination airport, some areas require connecting flights while others are direct flights.

For freight and ship cargo, we shall prepare all the required documents that will assist you to clear the consignment at the airport or sea port. Some of the documents we will scan and send via email where applicable, while others especially shipping container documents we will send via DHL.

 Shipping Prices do not include customs or VAT charges, since we cannot estimate how much of each you will pay at your country’s clearance offices. We advise one to get a good clearing agent who will assist in the clearance process, to avoid major headaches and being overtaxed.

We also request for your full correct, current contact details, so that when the parcel arrives the customs officials we will be contact you. If they are unable to completely contact you including at your physical address the consignment will be sent back to us of, you will cover the costs.
